About This Statistic
With the aim of promoting international comparability, statistics presented on ILOSTAT are based on standard international definitions wherever feasible and may differ from official national figures. This series is based on the 13th ICLS definitions. For time series comparability, it includes countries that have implemented the 19th ICLS standards, for which data are also available in the Work Statistics -- 19th ICLS (WORK) database. Work-based learning refers to all forms of learning that take place in a real work environment. It may but does not always combine elements of learning in the workplace with off-the-job learning. The rate of participation is calculated per 1000 persons. For more information, refer to the Education and Mismatch Indicators (EMI) database description .
MapTheory uses only finite ISO-mapped observations from the fixed 2024 ILOSTAT slice recorded below. Aggregates, missing values, non-ISO geographies, conflicting duplicate observations, and every other year or dimension slice are excluded; MapTheory never imputes or interpolates missing countries.
