About This Statistic

Population in urban agglomerations of more than one million is the country's population living in metropolitan areas that in 2018 had a population of more than one million people.

MapTheory uses only finite ISO-mapped observations from the fixed 2025 World Bank slice recorded below. Aggregates, missing values, non-ISO geographies, conflicting duplicate observations, and every other year or dimension slice are excluded; MapTheory never imputes or interpolates missing countries.

Methodology

Population in urban agglomerations of more than one million is the country's population living in metropolitan areas that in 2018 had a population of more than one million people.
