About This Statistic
High-technology exports cover products with high research-and-development intensity, including aerospace, computers, pharmaceuticals, scientific instruments and electrical machinery. Values are nominal current US dollars.
This is an absolute trade-value measure, not the share of manufactured exports. It therefore reflects both specialization and the size of each country's export economy.
Methodology
World Bank indicator TX.VAL.TECH.CD, sourced from the UN Comtrade database and World Bank WITS. Values are current US dollars and follow the publisher's high-R&D-intensity product classification. Only non-null 2023 ISO-country observations are retained, with no currency conversion or imputation by this run.
