About This Statistic

With the aim of promoting international comparability, statistics presented on ILOSTAT are based on standard international definitions wherever feasible and may differ from official national figures. This series is based on the 13th ICLS definitions. For time series comparability, it includes countries that have implemented the 19th ICLS standards, for which data are also available in the Work Statistics -- 19th ICLS (WORK) database. Data on hours of work are presented, whenever possible, on the basis of the average number of hours of work per week, and with reference to hours worked in the main (paid) job regardless of working time arrangements (e.g. full-time and part-time). For more information, refer to the Worker and Sector Profiles (PROF) database description .

MapTheory uses only finite ISO-mapped observations from the fixed 2025 ILOSTAT slice recorded below. Aggregates, missing values, non-ISO geographies, conflicting duplicate observations, and every other year or dimension slice are excluded; MapTheory never imputes or interpolates missing countries.
